Where's Dr Who When we Need Him?

Creatures More Frightening than Dr Who's Monsters

It seems to me that there's something far more scary and disturbing than the Cybermen or the Daleks. The monsters that I refer to might not have the technology of the Cybermen, or be able to threaten to cause the whole Universe to cease to exist like the Daleks, but they're much worse in one way. They aren't bonded together as a race like all of the monsters Dr Who faces seem to be. In fact their enemies are each other and they use their weapons against themselves. I wonder if, even Dr Who, could work out how to prevent them from destroying the human race?

The horrendous creatures I speak of are lower than cannibals because they do something worse than eating one another in order to survive; they kill each other for no valid reason and then others dispose of the bodies. What a dreadful waste! It's utterly nonsensical.

Most species in the Universes, except for them, are aware instinctively that they must preserve their habitats in order to survive and to live happily and healthily. Not this ludicrous bunch! No, they use up their resources in order to waste them! They build machines that use a lot of fuel, and then they ride around in them, often in what appears to observers from other planets, seeming to have no valid destinations or reasons for getting where they're going.

Many of them use these vehicles to take them to places each day in order to do destructive activities, such as tearing their environment down, inventing new ways of poisoning their food, producing it, then giving the ones who eat it and get sick medicines (and I say that lightly) to make them even sicker!

They have no foresight where their mating habits are concerned. They're alarmingly over-populating their planet, and, believe it or not, at the same time scientifically inventing new ways to make many more of them. I understand if you're assuming that this is fiction but you may go and see them for yourself on planet Earth.

Who is Dr Who?

For some reason Dr Who has a soft spot for these silly creatures. I told him last week that he should stop fighting their battles for them because they're destroying themselves anyway. He replied that as long as there are some sensible ones among them (and I was forced to agree that there are) he would stand by them but that he can't interfere with what they do to themselves because free will is essential to the well-being of all creatures.

He seems to think that some of their number are beginning to get the point and are standing on their own two feet, especially the ones who've been with him in the Tardis.

I was watching a young human the other day, who appeared to be waking up. She was looking around at what the others are doing and she appeared to be horrified. I heard her cry 'Where's Dr Who when we need him?' If she could have understood me I would have said 'You are Dr Who if only you knew it!'

You see the Doctor is trying to teach them that they are their own doctors and that they can stream the fiery power of the Tardis into themselves if they simply will it. Judging by the majority of Earthlings though, they'd probably rather spend their time voting for people that are going to ruin their lives, inventing things that cause massive scale destruction, and making more of them until it's standng room only!

I have been a huge fan of Doctor Who and this was witty and very interesting hub. My favorite was the tenth doctor... witty, humorous and awkward enough to be believable. As for your hub, it is cute, but we can't control the population because too many people enjoy the activity it takes to create children.

Great hub! I liked it; both as a concerned human and a big Doctor Who fan.

Thanks Phoebe, David Tenant's my favourite Doctor too. I think he really made the part his own, and he has the dynamism the part needs.
