Clicking on Amazon Ads

Benefitting Each Other
I buy many items from Amazon, mainly books, but now and then I buy dvds, cds, clothes or other miscellaneous goods. Nevertheless since being a member of Hubpages I've never bought anything through clicking on an Amazon ad on someone's hub, even though I sometimes click to find out about an item.
The reason for this is that I live in the UK and the hub ads take me to the American version, Amazon.com. It takes much longer for items to arrive if I order from there. I began to wonder if I can transfer to Amazon UK from the American version, and I confirmed earlier that I can, by scrolling down to the bottom of the page.
I'm very pleased about this because I'd like to help my fellow hubbers to earn a bit more, at no extra cost to me, seeing as I can get to Amazon UK through their hubs when I'd be buying something anyway. I used to pressume that they would only earn money if I bought one of the items listed in their hubs, but apparently they will earn if I buy anything.
Next time I'm going to buy a book, gardening gloves or anything else I'll wait until I see an ad I want to find out about when I'm reading a hub, and then go to Amazon UK through Amazon.com to order my product.
Many of you will already know about all of this but seeing as I had to work it out for myself I thought I'd share it with those of you who didn't. I expect that I'll I'll end up reading more hubs because every time I want to browse for a product I'll do it through a hub. This means that I'll be learning and contributing more to hubpages generally.
Lets not Forget the Geological Amazon!
Now here's a photo of the breath taking real Amazon, the Rainforest that inspired the website's name. I've chosen some items about it for my Amazon ads, because I thought that would be appropriate.

Writers are Necessary and Valuable
What would the internet be without interesting and enlightening content? Writers are important and we need to support each other in every way we can by reading, commenting and encouraging one another.
I'm glad that websites such as hub pages are doing their best to ensure that we recieve financial rewards as incentives; this added to the experience we gain from writing, reading and learning makes being a hubber worthwhile!

I'm interested to learn the answers to your questions here.
For the first point I believe Yes.
- If you click any Amazon ad on HP you will land up on the US page (as the publisher/hubber is an Amazon US associate). Then if you go on and buy it from the UK site, well the hubber won't get the credit as he is not an Amazon UK associate.
For Second question answer is No, you can earn.
- Your location is immaterial here. You can always sign-up for Amazon as an US associate (follow the tutorial by hubpages in your profile-->earnings tab-->amazon config. for details on how to do so)
When a reader buys from Amazon links in your hubs you will earn commissions(till they shop from the US site !)
As you can see I am quite new here and the above is as per my understanding of the things :)
I am using Amazon from the other hubs.
Thanks for the hub again a very informative hub:)
Can't you ask a fellow hubber to link an ad through amazon to their hub page so when you click on it they earn money, or does this work?

You are right about Amazon in HP, and the main cause for this is HP only allows Amazon for US local ie; the amazon US associate ID. You can check that in you profile--> earnings tab--> amazon config. So, for now everyone will be redirected to Amazon US.
May be in future this problem can be handled by amazon by automatically redirecting ppl to their respective region.
